Estonian Presenters Trained in Kansas City

Tamo Vahemets, head of security for Estonian Railways, and his wife, Sigrid, came to Overland Park, KS, for Operation Lifesaver’s Presenter Training program at Johnson County Community College. Estonia is a Balkan republic carved out of the former U.S.S.R.. Located on the Baltic Sea South of Finland, Estonians gained their independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. They joined the Soviet Bloc after World War II.

The two-day training at the BNSF Technical Training facility brought together a variety of OL trainers, including Missouri State Coordinator Rick Mooney and Regional Trainer John Simpson, who serves on the Missouri and Kansas OL Boards.
